Introduction to System Moisture content has a distinct influence on the printing quality. The paper crisps and static electricity is generated during printing if moisture content is too low; inks are hard to dry if moisture content is too high. Variation of moisture also influences paper features, including ration, tensile strength, flexibility, folding endurance and so on. Meanwhile, papers are also stretched in size, or even curled, edge-wrapped, wrinkled, frilled. Each kind of papers has an optimum moisture content value, where paper has the best performance. The optimum moisture content for delivery of cast coated paper and cast coated white board is 7%±2%, white cardboard 4%-7%, single face coated white board 8%±2%. GFKJ5200 moisture measuring system is a smart infrared one, widely applied to non-contact continuous measurement of online moistures of papermaking, coating, NCR paper, which is an important factor for production automation of papermaking enterprise. Moisture meter takes PLC as its control core. Its panel features a touch-screen, which is more reliable in application and easier in operation than the predecessor. Moisture content value, moisture content rate, trend graph and other necessary data for field operation are all accessible on the screen directly. Moisture meter can be applied independently to achieve the above measuring functions. It can be also used together with β radial quantitative meter, both of which are basically identical in appearance and installation size. Such match makes the moisture quantitative meter widely applied in papermaking industry and is simplified as B/M meter. In the field application, sensor of this instrument is installed on an O-shape scanning frame (especially in the event of wide paper web), or on a C-shape scanning frame (when paper web is less than 2.5m) for cross scanning measurement, point search measurement or point fixing measurement.
